Goes the other ways around too. The op had it right the first time. We all should just try and be better people not to one group of people but to all

False. OP did not have it right the first time.
A white person getting made fun of or treated poorly for being white is not a victim of racism. You could argue that they are a victim of discrimination, but not racism. Same with sexism. A man being made fun of for being a man is not a victim of sexism. Because the system is set up to cater to white people and to men. That’s why most CEOs are white males. That’s why most politicians are white males. That’s why most movies/TV shows that are created have white males as the protagonists.
While I don’t disagree that we should be better to all people, the problem is that white people and men are already treated pretty great. We need to focus on being better to the people that are actually being oppressed because of their race and/or gender.
In other words, increasing respect across for all groups does nothing to acknowledge the fact that marginalized groups need significantly more respect to even come close to equaling the respect that white people and/or men already have. First, we need to make it so all people in the marginalized groups have the same respect and opportunities as their white and/or male counterparts. Then, we can start discussing how we should be better to all people.

straight friend: aw I don’t understand why you’re still single

me: because approximately 8% of the us population identifies under the lgbtq community where 1.1% identifies as lesbian female, 3.5% as bisexual female, 1.7% as gay male, 1.1% as bisexual male, .3% as trans, and .3% as something else, then there’s finding someone who I’m compatible with emotionally, physically, and romantically from less than 8% of the population, and may or may not live near me

[ANIMATION] “WHAT?!?”

I recently made the decision to create a quick mini animation in both Paint Tool Sai + Photoshop. It turned out pretty good, it definitely could be better, but I’m too tired to work on it any further. I also threw some text on top of the gif to show you what effects I used, plus animation thumbnails below it. Enjoy!

See You Tomorrow
